ubuntu 8.04. Custom background from a NTFS disk don't load automatically on startup

Asked by yostane

hello,
the background is located in an NTFS disk, the shortcut of the disk is not present on the desktop on startup until I open it from the shortcuts menu. The background also appears at that moment.
This problem didn't exist in ubuntu 7.10.

yostane,

That's because the NTFS drive is not mounted until you use it.
You will need to edit your /etc/fstab to add the drive so it will mount when your system boots.

Here is a link that describes how to do this.
