is java mozilla plugin available for 64 bit Ubuntu?

Cannot enable java plugin with 64 bit Ubuntu 7.10 Cannot get streaming quotes with scottrade.

hi

you should find the plugin through the browser directly if you are using firefox

you can try this to locate it yourself

goto software sources and enable all boxes or check-mark all and close this will reload and close

go to your add move programs and check show all available applications you should now be able to

locate the sun java or ice tea java etc in this list

if that doesnt work open your synaptic manager and scroll to the plugin version you want to apply and install

im using xubuntu so im not sure exacly were to go but this is what i remember in gnome

system>administration>software

application>add/remove

system>administration>synaptic

no, but u can:

sudo apt-get build-dep icedtea-java7-plugin
sudo apt-get -b source icedtea-java7-plugin icedtea-java7-bin icedtea-java7-jre icedtea-java7-jdk
sudo dpkg -i icedtea-java7-*deb

did not work for me --took several hours to run. I no longer get the "no java installed" notice
Now I get java not found or not working.
