Hello again taurus

Firstly you need to install some packages as a prerequisite

To do that give the following command in a terminal

sudo apt-get install bcc iasl xsltproc xalan libxalan110-dev uuid-dev zlib1g-dev libidl-dev libsdl1.2-dev libxcursor-dev libqt3-headers libqt3-mt-dev libasound2-dev libstdc++5 linux-headers-`uname -r` build-essential

For all versions of ubuntu, download the .deb from http://virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads

Then after downloading double click on the file to install..

Note: this is non-free and only for personal use, it adds USB support and virtual Remote Desktop support. Without this, your USB devices can't be used in the guest OS and you cannot use Windows Remote Desktop as a server in the guest OS.

Regards

Bhavani Shankar.

Hello Taurus again:

Its a virtual machine sort of thing which essentially is a software implementation of a machine (computer) that executes programs like a real machine.

More on VM here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_machine

If you have any doubts you can go to:

http://virtualbox.org/wiki/Documentation

http://virtualbox.org/wiki/Screenshots

For the features
