Wrong address in DUP response to broadcast ping
Asked by
Edo
In Ubuntu Desktop 14.04, if we ping to broadcast address, the DUP response coming from different manchine will have the wrong address. Instead of the actual IP address from the responding node, it ALWAYS stamp with the 1st received address.
With wireshark, I can confirm that I receive reply from different node.
The problem is NOT seen in Ubuntu Server 12.04.
Is this a bug or there is extra ping option I need to enable in order to probe my LAN?
