What application did you download?
How did you install it?

You have provided zero details. We don't even know the release of Ubuntu..... We cannot see your system.

You need to give a LOT more detail if you want assistance.

Think about it.

App. downloaded = KGeography.
From : ubuntu software centre. Downloaded as the centre requested.
U dont know the release of Ubuntu ???? I dont know anything about that
either. U cant see my system. How did i get in touch with u then????
I downloaded ubuntu from web. No-one intimated that was against security
council regulations.
Think about YOUR system.

You should always know, which Ubuntu or any Linux release, you are using. It is possible different releases, may need different procedures, to fix problems. Many people download Ubuntu releases that are EOL. (end of life) There is no support for EOL releases.
If you Google, how to find which release I am using, you can find sites like below. This site will explain how.

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/CheckingYourUbuntuVersion

You may or may not how to use the terminal. If you do, disregard the rest of this. If you don't, see site below.

Hello Peter. If installed application is a kgeography, You can use two commands to remove this apps:

1/ remove just the kgeography package itself.
sudo apt-get remove kgeography

2/ remove the kgeography and any dependencies, config files etc.
sudo apt-get --purge remove kgeography

Before removing, please check command which Andrew posted (see #6) to get exact package name.

Best regards.

Usually you can uninstall an application in a similar way that you have installed it.

If you install an application with software-center, then you can also use software-center to remove it.
If you install an application by downloading a source package an using a command like "make install", then you usually have also the possibility to remove it in a similar way, perhaps with "make uninstall" or "make clean" or similar. There should be some instructions coming with the software telling how to do this.

For your current request:

1. either use software-center:
see http://www.howtogeek.com/197919/how-to-easily-add-and-remove-programs-in-ubuntu-14.04

or

2. use the command line:
Open a terminal window (e.g. by simultaneously pressing ctrl-alt-t)
type the command

sudo apt-get purge kgeography

and press the 'enter' key.
You will most probably see a request to enter your password as confirmation for an administrative action. Enter your password (you will not get any feedback, no echo, not even '*' placeholders), and hit the 'enter' key again.

You can launch a terminal by pressing CTRL + ALT + T. Copy the below command:

sudo apt-get remove kgeography

Paste it to the terminal and hit ENTER. Type your user's password (you will not get feedback as you type) and it will remove it.

I recommend that you create a new question document about the issue with the printer.
You can do this by using this link

and filling in the requested information
