Asked by Newbie to LINUX

I am having trouble opening and installing an online game i downloaded recently. It has an .exe extension and i know i am supposed to use this wine software or application, i am not sure can someone walk me through the steps pelase. If u are wrtiting please assume that i have no prior knowledge or substantial knowledge of this OS because i am new to it.

thank you for your help but when i try to get the wine application the final message in the terminal says couldn't find package wine!

You need to have extra repositories enabled for that.... Please refer:
