Include Ralinks OSS drivers for their rt61 wireless chipset in dapper

Asked by David Silverkors

I do not know to who I should email so when I found this request form I thought, heck why not try this way... :)

Ralink has very recently released source drivers for their rt61 (aka 2560 and maybe other names as well) chipset. It would be great if dapper would include them so laptops with som wireless pccards from ie d-link would work right out of the box!

It would be something of a defeat in Ubuntus everongoing strive to support laptops and wireless nics if this would be overlooked, don't you think?

Hmmm, I guess that's not the right place for this, unless you actually have trouble installing this hardware and are asking for help.

You're apparently asking for a new feature, so I believe you should just file a bug.

Thanks for the tip, I'll do that.

But I do have problems installing the driver in breezy, but that's another tale :-)
