Launching a program or file

I some how managed to screw up thew following:

When you right click the mouse on a file or icon there is a default program to run it at the top of the list.
I have Inkscape trying to launch everything I click on.

How do I change this to something more appropriate?

Right click the file and select the open with other application option. Select y u application then set to remember that the option.
