instalation problems on sli mobo

Can you please define corrupt screen. can you give an error message. is it a blue screen with greyish looking tested boxes? is it a black screen with a log in prompt?

What I mean by corrupted is a bunch of small squares and rectangles of
differnt colors I beleibe it has to do with the graphics cards becouse I
just took out the two 6600 gt cards and installe an old pci card that I had
and ubuntu installs fine the only problem is that I can only work on low
res maby I have to install special driver for the nvidia cards but I though
the installer will detect the cards and install the drivers by the way I'm
new to linux I realy will love to move from windows xp to linux I'm wiling
to learn
