Printing Problems

I have a Canon Pixma iP3500 printer and when looking for a driver, I am left to choose the iP3000 or 3100.
This option works for gray scale printing. But for colour printing this doesn't work.
The colour ink misaligned on the test page as found on the Printer configuration window.
Please help!

Installing a dell 720, I have followed the instructions but it wants more programs downloaded and where do you enter the strings
