new to ubuntu, need help PLEASE!

Lexmark X1100 printer not working on X125 driver, my TV tuner not working ither, can't get K9copy and most of the burning software to work. what gives? I love the look of UBUNTU and don't want to go back to MS. Please can someone be my mentor???

With regards to the TV tuner, what program are you using to try to watch TV?

Is your TV tuner a digital (DVB) card or analogue? If it's an analogue tuner I would recommend you try kdetv. As for CD burning I would recommend you install k3b as it's a very intuitive program. Both k3b and kdetv are available in the Ubuntu repositories.
