Problem in installing the accompanied 'driver & utilities CD

Asked by Oscar M. Olaguera

I have a new computer with an installed linux system (edubuntu) and accompanied by 'a driver and utilities' CD. The problem is that when I insert the CD in the disk drive it did not auto-install the software stored in the disc, I can only browse its content.

Any software contained in a CD can be installed by typing sudo apt-get install xxx(in a terminal applications -> accessories -> Terminal) (where xxx is your packages' name) with the CD inserted provided they are in .deb format..
