How do get the menu's back on the programs

Asked by Lynne Stevens

Terrible there with 5 or 6 programs open I have to click the top of the program and then go to the top bar to get to the menu's
I did figure out how to go around the floating icons over on the left hand side and get to programs faster with the Classic Menu Indicator
And how do I remove the Gnome shell 3.6 thought it would work but it is more of a problem than the floating Icons
Oh yeah and what am I to do about Fire wall since you decided that Firestarter is a program you did not like anymore

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firestarter/+changelog

States:
Deleted in saucy-release (Reason: Dead upstream, removed from Debian.)

So it was removed from Saucy. Nothing to do with 'liking' it, just following the upstream which is completely normal.

If you like the old style gnome session just install the gnome-panel package and log off. You can then select the new session on the login page.

If you are behind a router you don't need a firewall. If you are out and about with a laptop then you may want to configure iptables
