Firefox keeps crashing when I write emails
Firefox crashes repeatedly when I, for example, delete spam mail or try to download an attachment or upload an attachment. Then when I click on 'restore session' the problem is solved until I next start Firefox.

Please tell us from what web site... or you mean Mozilla Thunderbird mail
Thank you

No, I don't mean Mozilla Thunderbird! I don't use it. I access my email accounts directly with my Firefox browser. The problem lies with Firefox, not Yahoo or Msn or Gmail, etc. Once it crashes and I click on 'return to session' the problem is solved. . .until the next time I start Firefox anew. The crashes always occur when I want to delete spam, upload a picture or file, download the same. Sometimes Firefox just stops. . .or stalls. . .and I have to force a quit to continue.
Hope that has been of assistance. If not, please let me know.
Bill

Thanks! I've tried what you said and it seems to work better. I have tried all the things where firefox used to crash and nothing has happened so far, but I still don't know where the problem lies. I will try it a few days more just to make sure, then report back.
Cheers

Hi,
Firefox crashed again tonight as I was trying to copy and paste part of a message from one mailbox to another. The terminal had the following message:
Hope this helps you.

Why don't you try to upgrade your system to a more recent release...?
It may solve your issue.
Thank you

Seems to me the issue lies with Firefox and not my system. I had Firefox before, when I was dependent on Microsoft, and didn't have this particular problem. I tried to upgrade my sytem once to ubuntu 7.04 but my screen resolution was caught at an impossible 640X480
