Graphical error after stand-by

Asked by Nick Lehmann

Hello Community,
I use Ubuntu 13.10 Raring and the nvidia-313 binary xorg drivers.
When I wake my laptop with an GT 420M up from stand-by and unlock it, I get a bar on the left side looking like a graphical mess. It's there where my dock should be normally. I'd like to mention the I hide the dock normally, so I don't see it after logging in. The bar disappears when I move my mouse on the left side to invoke the dock or when a press the Super- or Alt-Key. This only happens after moving my laptop in stand-by.
Here is a link to an image of this: http://s24.postimg.org/cle4g159x/Bug2.png

Is there any fix of this issue? It's not a big deal, but unworthy for a common operating system like Ubuntu...

Regards,
Nick

Hello,

as you correct indicated it is not a big deal. Probably some misbehavior with current kernel and binary nvidia driver.

Keep it watch and with a kernel update maybe will be fixed.

OR

you can try another nvidia driver.. newer maybe..

nvidia-319-updates

or from an UNstable PPA the

nvidia-325
