The PPA does not support Raring and should be removed. If you start adding 3rd party package sources don't be surprised if you get issues.

Please open a terminal and issue the commands

lsb_relase -a
uname -a
cat -n /etc/apt/sources.list

Then select all output (using the entry "edit - select all" of the terminal window's menu), copy it (edit - copy) and paste into this question document that we can see it.

Hi. Maybe mohamed should try to set # before 'cdrom' in '/etc/apt/sources.list'? Often it is the first entry in this file. So mohamed please edit 'sourcelists.list' file and put a # sign in front of 'cdrom' description.

You can edit this file by using e.g. 'leafpad', 'gedit' or 'nano' editors. It depends on desktop environmets, which you're using. If you are using GNOME then you can use 'gedit' text editor. You can do it in this way (please remember about # sign);

,-----[ $ sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list ]
| cdrom:[Ubuntu 13.04 _Raring Ringtail_ - Release amd64 (20130424)] (...)
| change to:
| # cdrom:[Ubuntu 13.04 _Raring Ringtail_ - Release amd64 (20130424)] (...)
`-----

As you can see there is a # sign before 'cdrom'. Of course all above suggestions are also good. My post is the only one of possibilities to solve your problem.

Best regards.
