ubu 12.04 LTS amd64 black screen

tonight,when I was turning off the session is not appeared the usual purple screen;instead is appeared a black screen.Now, I cannot stop my laptop whenever I have always to press switch off key to fully stop my session of work

If you run :

sudo shutdown -h now

When you want to power off, does it go all the way down?

Do you have the latest BIOS?

What is the output of :
lsb_release -a; uname -a

Yesterday I have inserted system cd-rom into drive and replaced GRUB writing---> sudo grub-install /dev/sda; I'm not sure if it was a temporary problem or else, but it seems that is solved;the output for lsb_release -a is --->Distributor ID:Ubuntu;Description: Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS;Release: 12.04;codename:precise.The output for uname -a is--->Linux root 3.2.0.52-generic #78Ubuntu SMP Fri Jul 26 16:21:44 UTC 2013 X86_64 X86_64 X86_64 GNU/Linux
