Opening New DataCenter would like to use ubuntu

Hi

First Let me introduce myself. i have been woring on computers since i was 17yrs old . started in High School
My first job Lead Operator on Burrogh Small Sys 1981 (B6500 or M6500) for Lighthouse for the Blind. also attended NYC Tech College studied: Electro-Mech Eng. (B-Gpa) US Navy - Snap2-1985 System the Equivelent of (AS400) IBM. I think first use of Servers. and Much more. We are interested in setting up a data center. I am looking into using ubuntu linux.

I would like to talk to some one (That can give me good info about the Process and cost if we wre to use this system)

This would be more in the Data processing and Storage, Full duplex in-house and Half-Duplex Out-house.

Do you understand or did i give you the info needed?

Then setup an nfs server using ubuntu and it can store your data. You can also use open source software to back up the data to tape or off site storage
The data processors could also be Ubuntu based but it depends on what application is actually used "data processing" is far too ambiguous to advise accurately.
