Cannot fix dependency issues with LUbuntu on Acer Iconia A500
Okay, So I have a little problem on Lubuntu 13.04 that makes it to where I cannot install any packages because of this dependency program, and nothing seems to fix it. I've ran every command I can think of and nothing works. It gives me the same error over and over. I've even edited out the package out of the DPKG Status text file and still doesn't work.
This is the result of running sudo apt-get -f install
E: cannot get debconf version. Is debconf installed?
dpkg: regarding .../libgcc1_
f, pre-dependency problem:
libgcc1 pre-depends on multiarch-support
multiarch-
deb (--unpack):
pre-dependency problem - not installing libgcc1:armhf
Errors encountered while processing:
/var/
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
This also happens if I try to install any of these dependent packages (like debconf and multiarch-support but they also run into dependency problems. The entire dependency chain is broken and no matter what command I try, it won't fix it, and it fixes all of them except for libgcc1, debconf, and multiarch-support.
It's always those 3 causing problems, and I don't know why. This is a clean install as well. It is also an Acer Iconia A500 with Lubuntu and Android dual-boot.
