password wifi

hello,

The password of the wifi at home seems to be changed into a 30 digit password in windows 7

but i cannot type a 30 digit password in ubuntu ?

You can properly type a long password in Ubuntu, if you are using the default WiFi configuration via Network Manager. Of cause there are some encryction types that do not support long passwords, for example WEP, which by the way is old, unsecure and should not be used. Also, Windows does not change the password of the WiFi, it has to be set in the router. So. check your router if you can see the password in the web interface and enter it in Ubuntu.

I have a password of 63 digits.
It would be easier if you copy-paste the password. Copy it to a document and paste it to netwrok manager on "Wireless Security" Tab.
