i cant install the Ubuntu

Hi I have HP Pavilion dv9000 ( dv9015ea ) i download ubuntu-7.10-desktop-amd64.iso
and i burn it in the cd .. when i boot from CD i enter the first command ( Install ubuntu ,,,,, ) its read from Cd after that when he loading the kernel and read the all device ( ok ) after that come in my laptop black screen and no more what is the problam plz help me to install it i have mandreva 2008 and i install it and its ok working ver well .. why ubuntu i cant help me

i think i get somethink woring about ACPI fiald what is mean .. its first screan when i boot the cd and read from it and i enter the installing

no no may be the live cd is not compatible with your PC. Using an alternate CD would be fixing the problem i guess.

I had a similar problem on my dv9049ea, I solved adding "noapic noirqpool noirqdebug" as boot options. After that all worked perfectly.
