file selection by typing in ubuntu 13.04

Asked by Mohammad

Hi,
In previous ubuntu versions, typing while browsing files and folders selects the files that match what I type. In 13.04, however, typing searches the current directory and its subdirectories. This is much slower than selecting a file from the current directory.
I to make typing only selects files in the current directory like before. Is that possible ? Below, I summarize what I do and what I want.

What I do:
-Open a directory.
-Start typing with keyboard.

What happens:
-The file browser starts searching in the current directory and its subdirectories.

What I expect:
-The file browser selects the a file or directory that matches what I type in the current directory.

Thank you in advance

No I have not. I only use nautilus. Do I really need to change the file browser. Nautilus is a very good one and I prefer to keep using it.
