Fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04 lts asks for password, never set one

I just put 12.04 LTS image on my USB using UUB and setup went ok until the initial start screen passed and I was prompted for a password. I never set a password, so I can't log in unless I use a guest account (no good)

What can I do to fix this?

How did you manage to not set a password? I'm pretty sure the installer asks you for one.

Oddly, I tried the password I was most likely to have used, but it didn't work after several tries. However, after rebooting it worked. Cheers
