install wpa key

I am new to Ubuntu and am using the live-CD 6.06, before I install it on my computer.

I´m trying to install a wlan connection, butit won´t work. The reason might be, that I have a wpa key and not the wep key.

I read Marcus Fischers book Ubuntu Linex, but I still can´t fix it onmy own. Is there somebody that can help me?

my wlan is working but I tried something else, I changed my router to wep. Now its working for the meantime. Thanks for your help.

I have another question concerning my printer. I have a samsung ml 1710 and its not working, although the printing assistent recognizes the printer. Can it be that it doesnt work because Im using a live cd? I haven´t installed ubuntu 6.06 on my computer yet.What do you think? Thanks.

The Ubuntu LiveCD has the same features as the normal installation. In fact. the installation just copy the LiveCD content on your hard drive.
I got a Samsumg ML-1740, and it works perfectly. The ML-1710 is also supported. Maybe you should check the connection or the printer itself. Are you using a USB connection or the parallel port?

Hallo,

I´m using a usb connection. I don´t understand why it isnt working. When I click on the model ml-1710 nothing happens, although I should be getting an icon. When I click install driver then i get a list of things that have nothing to do with the driver.What do you think?
