screen resolution on Sony Vaio VGN CR29XN/B
Asked by

Have installed Ubuntu on my Vaio, seems to work ok, but screen resolution is only 800/600. The chipset (mobile Intel(R) 965 Express) supports 1280/800, but only 640/480 and 800/600 are selectable in setup. When checking for extra drivers, I get a message "your hardware does not need any extra drivers" (or something like that).
Is there any solution?
I saw in the notebook support area that other vaio models (with same resolution than mine) work fine with 1280/800.
Thank you for any suggestions/help!
Alfred
