Unable to play .mp3 files

i was getting help earlier. i wanted to play my mp3s in "breezy badger" version. however, archive manager will not open this file. can someone point me to one that AM will open? i want to play my mp3s! if i am doing this wrong, please tell me! im still learning the linux system, im VERY intermediate with it...

this is the file link that i was given

Yes, you can find it in Universe repository.

Of course. See http://packages.ubuntu.com/breezy/libs/gstreamer0.8-mad.
Once you downloaded it, you can install it by typing
sudo dpkg -i gstreamer0.8-mad_0.8.11-0ubuntu5_i386.deb

thanks! i've just been impressed by tech support. no one answered the question last time. ill get this working tonight then. thanks very much... i should get a book... linux for complete morons...
