how to upgrade from feisty to gutsy using livecd

Asked by Craig Snively

I have a slow connection to the internet. I have the livecd of Gutsy. How do I upgrade from Feisty 64 to Gutsy 64 using the livecd?

I have Feisty installed on my computer. I dual boot Feisty and Windows Vista. Both are working fine at the moment.

Thanks
Craig

Thanks Ali, but that only talks about either upgrading via the internet (Network Upgrade), or using the Alternate CD/DVD. I checked on the LiveCD and could not find the file "cdromupgrade" that is mentioned in the Alternate CD/DVD section.

I'll keep looking.

Craig

when ubuntu fully loaded press CTRL+ALT+F2 (you can also use F3, F4, F5, F6). you will see a login screen. login typing your username and password and run these commands:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install 915resolution

and reboot pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del

i hope this works
