XBMC and ubuntu

Why XBMC is not in ubuntu repositories so that users could just find it from software center or from apt-get?

I know I can install it by googling and using some PPA. Still, XBMC is quite mature, why it is not included in default ubuntu repositories?

i suggest you report a bug. there may be licensing issues
