dvd player won't show menu

I have ubuntu 7.10, and I did everything on this page http://nococomp.com/?p=18 and that made totem play dvd. But only the main movie, it won't give menues for extras, setup etc. Is there another player that will do things like a real dvd-player, or do I have to modify totem?

You can try "xine-ui". It's more of a real dvd-playbak utility rather than a movie player like totem.
You can find the package in Synaptic.

Note: it might be that you need to change some of the settings. I remember that by default it had the DVD drive setup as /dev/dvd, but on my pc this is just /dev/cdrom so I had to change it.
