Start/Intall Problem With Live CD
Alright, so I download the Ubuntu.iso 7.10 (also tried 6.10) thingy and burn it onto a 700 mb 80 min 32x CD-R. My computers Specs are:
Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 3.97 GHz
1.25 GB RAM
30 GB HDD with 20 GB left
Windows XP Home Edition 2002
The disc loads up the Ubuntu load screen displaying several options:
start/install ubuntu
Boot in safe mode or something with graphics
check CD
memory check
boot from first hard disk
I select "start/install Ubuntu" and it starts loading. The little orange thing goes left and right and then it stops toward the left and slowly moves towards the right, then it stops about 15% of the way over. I've burned several disks and I get the same result. Some of the disks are from different distributors and I still get the same thing. When I tried to install Ubuntu 6.10 I selected the start/install button and it simply restarted my computer for every time I made that selection. I'd rather have a solution for Ubuntu 7.10 instead of 6.10 so you people don't have to waste your time giving me a solution for 6.10.
All I need is to see the desktop when I boot from the CD.
Thanks in advanced.
