System->Quit logs off without showing the options (hibernate/reboot/shutdown etc.)

Asked by MoMaT

I'm using Gutsy. When I choose "Quit" from "System" menu, I don't see the options to choose from (like shutdown, hibernate, suspend, reboot, log off) but the system automatically logs off without asking what I want to do. I guess this is a configuration issue.

What and where should be set to have the options back instead of current auto log off behaviour?

Run "gconf-editor" from command line (or by pressing Alt-F2) then go under: apps -> gnome-session -> options.

You can now toggle the "logout_option" check-box.

Is it what you want ?

Thanks! The "logout prompt" checkbox was the setting I was looking for (to enable the logout options dialog).
