It depends on what hardware are you speaking. In general the answer is no,
but windows drivers can sometimes be useful for WiFi cards that don't have
linux drivers yet.

In general no and it's unlikely that you would need to. If something is not working it is most likely that there is little to no Linux support by the hardware maker so you might be out of luck. Things just tend to work or not work. That said, there are some workarounds that involve using "wrappers" for windows drivers. Is there something in particular you are trying to fix?
