Hibernate causes Kernel Panic

Asked by Osiris2258

When I try to hibernate, I freeze on this message and have to hard shutdown:

<0>Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception in interrupt

This makes it impossible for me to leave the computer on for long periods, because I can't afford the electricity to just leave it sitting there when I am not using it.

System Info:
32 bit Feisty, dualbooting with Windows XP
AMD Athalon 64 X2 Dual 2.41 GHz
2GB Ram
NVidia GeForce 7600 GT
EPoX EP-MF570SLI motherboard (BIOS up-to-date)
