Add/Remove asks for 7.10 CD to install programs

Asked by Steven Mitnick

When I attempt to install some programs from the Add/Remove Applications and the Synaptic Package Manager it asks me to insert the CD that I used to load Ubuntu. Is there a way I can install the rest of the information from the CD onto the computer so that I don't have to be dependent on the CD? Thanks.

You have to enter to Software Sources option in the Administration menu. The uncheck the CD in the first tab. In this way the system will never ask you again for the CD and will download the packets from the internet server.

Can you help with this problem?
