Xubuntu on mac

okay so i downloaded xubuntu 6.06 LTS from a miior (took 4 hours) so when i try to mount the iso it just put a icon on my desktop with the name Xubuntu_PowerPC_dapper and nothing happens so if you guys could help me

You have to burn the ISO to a CD, then boot into it to start the installation. Make sure your BIOS is set to boot from CD before your Hard Disk
