CD-Check on Windows?

Hello, I twice have tried to download the Ubuntu 5.10 installation and record it to a CD-RW. But when I did the cd check inside the installation, it detected that there was faulty packages. I dont know if the problem is a bad download or a scratched cd.
I like to know if there is a cd checker for Windows, or a way to do the check on Windows. So I could verify if the cd image is OK.
If no, I want to to suggest to include something like this in further releases.
Sorry if my English is bad, it´s not my mother language (I´m brazilian).

Well you could have let the cd checked when you burned it, this is assuming your using ehead`s nero burning room package. When you burn the cd then you have the option to check it. So if the cd-rom infact is a rewritable cdrom check the verify option of nero that will do.

All right, I finally had success installing Ubuntu in my computer. But I still suggest the cd check (or iso check) for Windows, for certify if the downloaded iso image is not corrupted.
And another thing: I´ve not found Wine in the default repositories, so I needed to add the Wine repository to install Wine. It´s a great program, and it could help a lot a beginner Linux user if Wine is included in the Ubuntu installation (or in a default repository). Thank You.

Wine is found in the universe repository, from which you can install it.
