Pubblishing deb packages

Asked by GioEnas

Sorry for my question that can sound trivial but I'm an amateur programmer and I need help also for obvious matters sometimes.
That's it, I built an app that hope can be useful, finally I succeeded making a deb package, and now I would like to submit for supervision and than publish if the supervisor says it's OK.
I don't want to break any rules or Policy, can someone explain me what I shall do?
Thank you.

well, upstream for ubuntu is debian, so if you want the best exposure, you are best off putting it there, as it will automatically be imported into ubuntu for the debian package sync (i.e. ocelot)

Now, you probably want to look at mentors.debian.net . If your project is arguably geo-science or astronomy related, you may be able to convince one of the debian-science uploaders to look at your package. Otherwise you may have to wait for a kind soul to look at it.

If you do end up posting to mentors, I can have a look at it and make some comments, but I do not have any kind of Debian rights, so can only comment from the sidelines.

Thanks mycae, I will appreciate your comments if you don't mind, before
annoying official mentors, may I post you the deb package?
regards

Yes, you can ping me by email with a link through launchpad; whilst I have written deb packages, I am no guru. It may take me 4 or 5 days to get ot it, as I have some other work I should be doing now :)
