how do I edit windows boot.ini to boot ubuntu

Asked by collgra@earthlink.net

Please note my email has changed to <email address hidden>.

How do I edit BOOT.INI on WIndows Xp to allow me to boot to Ubuntu on a secondary IDE drive.

I have a Abit NW7 I have Windows XP installed on boot primary Raid. Apparently there is no Ubuntu driver for this Raid array and Ubuntu did not see the windows installation on the Zero drive when I installed Ubuntu on the number 1 drive. I would prefer to install the boot prompt to windows instead of grub but how do I fix this,

Try to use the EasyBCD (http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1). He makes the necessary configuration.
(see this screenshot http://neosmart.net/gallery/v/neosmart/EasyBCD/1_60/Adding+Linux.png.html)

good luck
