i want to change language to Bengali

i install ubuntu 10.10 english ver, ufter that i Chang i language to Bengali (administration - language) after that i return to english but some menu still in bengali , i completely remove bengali but nothing happen.

Did you logged out/reboot after you uninstalled Bengali?

vlc, office org, language support, emerald themer 0.7.2 etc still in bengali

Try to edit the default locale of your system with this command:

Press ALT-F2 to launch the "Run Application" dialog

  gksudo gedit /etc/default/locale

And change the LANG="bn_IN:bn" text to LANG="en_IN.utf8"
