flashplayer 9 plugin only partially works in gutsy/firefox

Gutsy tribe 5 with all updates. Firefox 2.0.0.6. Flashplayer 9 installed as superuser, so in /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/libflashplayer.so . I have flashblock extension for firefox installed. Click on the flash emblem to view/open the flash file and it shows ok, but if there are any controls embedded in the flash file, links, commands etc. they will not actuate when clicked. The same with embedded youtube videos. The video start will load, but the arrow in center screen doesn't work. I linked directly to ~/.mozilla/firefox/xxxxxxxx.default/plugins/ but no difference. Uninstalled flashblock but same.

about:plugins has both shockwave/flash swf installed and enabled and flash/video flv installed and enabled.

Has anyone got flashplayer 9 working properly in firefox/gutsy?

Hi,

just use Synaptic and install the package "flashplugin-nonfree", restart you Browser. Not it should work.

My flashplayer still won't work. I had `flashplugin-nonfree installed, but the site CNNMoney.com for instance kept asking for the Adobe Flashplayer. I then also installed the Flashrom utility, but the problem remained the same. Other sites ask for an extra plugin to be installed, which turned out to be the Adobe flasplayer. So what could block my flashplayer?
Before you are going to advice me, I have removed and reinstalled the flashplayer already, but to ni avail.

My flash player dosn't work although I tried that synaptic, I've tried everything PLS HELP ME!!
