Samsung N210 Screen brightness

Asked by JCarlin

Dear All,
I have my third Samsung N 210 after Windows 7 Starter failed twice on the first two. It also failed on the third, when I replaced it with Ubuntu 10.04. That works a treat except the function key options are disabled, particularly screen brightness. Does anyone know how I can re-enable them, particularly the screen brightness on battery power? I have unchecked the "dim backlight on battery power" option.
Thanks,
Julia

Many thanks, Fred. The first part has the brightness working very nicely. The second part was not recognised in Terminal, but I'll just hope my function keys behave.
