Switching off keyrings in Ubuntu 10.04

Asked by gbiddis

As a very new user to Ubuntu, I have no idea why the "keyrings" is used for my W-LAN. Can I switch the "keyrings" functionality off so that I can connect without any "keyrings"? I would appreciate an answer to my email address as the Launchpad help is for me, not new user friendly. Thanks!

Run program "seahorse" (for example by pressing ALT+F2). In this program, in "passwords" tab, remove your passwords key. Right click and from menu try to delete it.
It works for me, i have the same - every reboot system asks me for password for my WLAN.

I tried this twice - firstly for my Login password and then for my WLAN router password. In both cases, the password was incorrect. As consequence, no action was made. Thanks anyway!

Can you help with this problem?
