Browser window shutting by itself.

When trying to access some websites browser will shut down by itself. Like I go to McDonalds website and it will start loading the page and then the window will just close. I go to reopen browser and it will close again. What can I do to fix this problem or what is causing this problem?

Are you using firefox? Try this. Press alt+f2, and type the following and press enter.

firefox -safe-mode

If web pages work now, then perhaps an extension such as the Adobe flash plug-in is causing your problems. A work around would be to temporarily disable the flash plugin under Tools -> Add-ons -> Plugins.

Did the browser once work, or has it always done this as far as you remember?

Try just running:

firefox

From the terminal, the output may be useful. What version of firefox are you suffering with?

Have you tried the mozilla PPA, the later build may fix the issues you are aving.
