How do I load Ubuntu to replace redhat?

Hi
I have Grub loader with XP & Redhat as options. I've set the bios to boot from the CD drive; it starts of with the CD then Grub cuts in & the CD stops. I have copied down a copy of Ubuntu 7.04 & would like to use it replace the Redhat.

Have you verified the MD5SUM for the .iso? And then verified the written data on the CD?

Did you burn your copy of Ubuntu as an iso file (that's the right thing to do) or did you burn it as normal data (that's wrong) ?
If you burnt it as a data file, it cannot boot by itself. To check this, try to read the CD-ROM from Windows or RedHat. If you see one iso file, it's not good !

Yes it's only one file!

The download info only said to 'download & burn' !

In the software you use to burn the CD, there should an option to burn an iso file (something like "create a CD from iso" maybe). What is your software ?
