switch bluez-utils service off for installation ubuntu

Asked by Arjan Nieuwenhuis

I have a problem with the Ubuntu 6.06 LTS desktop iso (i386).
After burning and booting, i'm unable to use it for installation because my logitech dinovo bluetooth set doesn't work. I have had that problem before, with other ubuntu versions. I have disabled "bluezutils service" on my current system and then everything works fine.

My question: How can i switch the bluezutils service off, when i like to install from the Ubuntu 6.06 LTS(i386) desktop installation cd?? so i can install ubuntu on my pc properly.

Currently running dapper drake flight6

In my opinion you are approaching problem in wrong way.
Since you are using dapper flight 6, my suggestion is to upgrade it to dapper final instead of using desktop CD to do reinstall. You need 'Alternate CD' for upgradation.

i'm working on the bluetooth driver for dinovo and mx5000 keyboard sets, it'd be greatly appreciated if you could send an lsusb from before and after running hid2hci aswell as an hciconfig after hid2hci. this might eventually help with your bluetooth service error.

Can you help with this problem?
