Installation conflict opera

Asked by Oddvar Kvernevik

When I try to install the new version of opera, I get error message
"Error: Conflicts with installed package 'opera'"
I have used Synaptic package manager, sudo apt-, manually removed all files containing opera and Gdebi package installer but all with same result. I have absolutely no idea what to do.

The package "opera" still seems to be on your system. Run the following command in a terminal: dpkg -P opera

And install the new package.

I have done all uninstall/install correct, but I always get the same error msg when trying to install newest version of opera (opera.....9.0.deb)
And no error msg before end of new install: Error: Conflict .....

Can you help with this problem?
