Please check if there are any nameservers in /etc/resolv.conf
Sometimes Network Manager doesn't set any nameserver for 3G connections - you can edit the connection and add ie. OpenDNS or Google DNS servers manually to test it.

hi, im on three 3g(uk) with sony c902. i connect great with usb(AutoUSBActive) and speed checks say i am getting around 2 mbps. i have noticed though in network manager that there is a mobile broadband option. would it benefit me in any way to set this up? would connection via bluetooth be available? as i can only connect via USB 1.0 currently. If so a pointer in the right direction would be great, i'm using 10.04, cheers
