postgresql patch for boolean fields not included in current kexi build

Using karmic koala and package kexi 1.1.3
I have created a postgresql database on a server which contains several boolean fields
The delimited data was input (COPY) with the fields set as 'FALSE'
In Kexi the table and form views show these fields marked as 'x' which I would take to be TRUE
Also I am not certain that edits to these fields in Kexi are saved to the database (I would like to check this right now
but cannot - something is definitely wrong there).

Do I have to do my own build to get the patch included?
