Ubuntu 9.10 server md5sum error

Asked by Jez

I am trying to download Ubuntu 9.10 Server (32 bit i386) as part of the UCP 199 exam course. I downloaded the ISO from Ubuntu.com website but when I ran an md5sum check it did not match the hash. I burnt it to CD anyway and booted from it, then selected "check disk for errors" from the main menu and it came up with a corrupt file. I then tried another mirror (france) and the md5sum still did'nt match. I have also tried various Torrent sites but these do not match either. Is this a known problem and how do I get a perfect copy?

Just keep trying. Use a stable internet connection if possible, and try a direct download from a website rather than using torrents and peer to peer programs.

Can you help with this problem?
