How to install webcam for ubuntu 9.10
I placed my creative logitech on the usb port ,it working with cheese i could even take pictures but when want to use it with skype 2.1 beta,i only got a transparent screen my face is not coming out, i open video options i the device i was using is USB 4of8**#**** /dev/dev0 ,as i could see in the forum it must be UVC4***:#/dev/dev0 it takes a lot of researching for just installing this web cam?can somebody help me even if i have to start from a scratch?i really don't know know what i'm doing wrong?with windows just plug and put the driver and that's it why is so difficult with Linux? I'm using Ubuntu 9.10.Or could anybody recommend a web cam that you don't have to work so hard like what i have done to install it,just pop it out from the box and use it?I saw a web cam in Argos ALBA was the name it compatible with Mac is it going o with Linux?
